The high plateau Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis offers best conditions for model-flyers and model airplane enthusiasts. The spots for model flying are easily reachable on foot, by car or cable car. There are also two beautiful airfields available in more than 2,300 meters above sea level on Schönjoch in Fiss and on Lazid in Serfaus, for those who want very high up.
The perfect flight conditions, the ideal local conditions and an excellent infrastructure simply give a lot of pleasure to model flying fans. The airfield on Schönjöchl can easily be reached by the Schönjochbahn. The modellers can be transported gently by gondola to the top. The airfield is located less than 10 minutes from the top terminal.
Don't forget to bring proof of insurance! Starting the model planes is permitted only with valid liability insurance.
The absolute highlight is held annually in July - the international model flying festival "Flying Circus", which attracts many model flying fans and tinkerers.
